Midnight Garden began as a major public artwork created with the Buffalo AKG Art Museum. That project led me into the print studio at Mirabo Press, where I spent my days hand-printing this mural-sized piece with their incredible team, one careful layer at a time.

For this work, I wanted to see what happens when screenprinting steps beyond the familiar. Instead of standard print sizes, we followed the scale and energy of the original mural to create something bold, architectural, and immersive — without losing the precision and elegance of traditional printmaking.

At 47 inches tall, Midnight Garden pushes the limits of the medium. Every pull demanded close attention to alignment, detail, and the physicality of working at this scale. The result is a print that feels alive on the wall, carrying the presence of a much larger installation while still living comfortably in your space.

Inspired by Art Deco rhythm and architecture, the central figure inhabits a nocturnal world with both power and softness, echoing the atmosphere of the larger mural. This multi-layered screenprint invites you to step into that world — a garden that glows quietly, even in the dark corners of a room.
